Republicans unite behind Democrats after Haiti earthquake…just kidding they say Satan did it and Obama responded too fast

A massive earthquake hits one of the America’s poorest countries and it’s still politics as usual over here in the states.

Robertson, host of the Christian Broadcasting Networks’ The 700 Club, claimed that Haiti “swore a pact to the devil” to get “free from the French” and “ever since they have been cursed.” Meanwhile, Limbaugh used his nationally-syndicated radio show to make a number of questionable comments about the tragedy, claiming that Obama would use the Haiti crisis to boost his credibility with the “light-skinned and dark-skinned black community in this country.” Both Limbaugh and the Fox Nation noted that Obama discussed the earthquake sooner than the attempted Christmas bombing, with Limbaugh asking, “Did he apologize for America?”

PAT ROBERTSON: And, you know, Kristi, something happened a long time ago in Haiti, and people might not want to talk about it. They were under the heel of the French. You know, Napoleon III and whatever. And they got together and swore a pact to the devil. They said, “We will serve you if you will get us free from the French.” True story. And so, the devil said, “OK, it’s a deal.”
And they kicked the French out. You know, the Haitians revolted and got themselves free. But ever since, they have been cursed by one thing after the other. Desperately poor. That island of Hispaniola is one island. It’s cut down the middle. On the one side is Haiti; on the other side is the Dominican Republic. Dominican Republic is prosperous, healthy, full of resorts, et cetera. Haiti is in desperate poverty. Same island. They need to have and we need to pray for them a great turning to God. And out of this tragedy, I’m optimistic something good may come. But right now, we’re helping the suffering people, and the suffering is unimaginable.

    PAT ROBERTSON, you are just a stupid ,ignorant, racist old man.You do not know anything about our culture ,our History. WE ,HAITIANS, liberated ourself from slavery,200 years ago: we are very hard working. We were very prosperous after our liberation. We were exporting items like coffee beans,vetiver,a perennial grass used to make perfume. We also exported cow,goat skins,to make leather articles. We also exported fruits, like pineapples,mangoes ect. we were making our own cement, our own cigars,cigarettes,flour,sugar, rice, beans. We had our farms. Now, countries , I will not be specific, stop all the export,or trade with Haiti. No more export of coffee beans, of sugar, etc.Those factories owned by the city became private or they are closed. Haitians do not grow sugar cane so the surplus of sugar could be sold overseas, instead, we export sugar, and our people go to Dominican Republic to grow and cut sugar cane. You wonder ,Mr Robertson, why Dominican Republic is prosperous?. HAITIAN SWEAT,Mr Robertson. Our people live the mountains, because there is no need to grow the land anymore,with the intent of exporting goods. They go to the capital, Port-au-Prince ,looking for work.
    We import everything, from sugar to rice and beans,cement,flour etc. We buy everything, even used clothes; therefore ,even our dressmakers went out of business.
    Sometimes I wonder what the word CHRITIAN means. Were the slaves blessed by a priest before boarding the slaveship?
    Mr Robertson ,don't we have cataclysms in California?. How do you explain those?. Is California cursed?. Mr Limbaugh, do you really think that Mr Obama discuss what happen in Haiti too soon?. Because it involve a black nation, it became a black and white matter. Again and again and again. Facing such a sudden, and great disaster should someone think or hesitate to speak. What does politic got to do with it?
