The Obama campaign has had the concept of politics on social media by the horn since 2008 and today’s tweets by the campaign makes this evident. Obama made comments during a Virginia rally taking aim at Mitt Romney’s tendency to move positions on an issue depending who is in the room at the time, the official Twitter account for President Obama poked fun and coined a new term in the process: Romnesia
President Obama: “He’s conveniently forgetting what his own positions are … We need a name for this condition—let’s call it #Romnesia.”

“If you say women should have access to contraceptive care but you support laws that would let employers deny it, you’ve got #Romnesia.”

“If you say you’ll protect a woman’s right to choose but you say you’d be ‘delighted’ to sign a law outlawing it, you’ve got #Romnesia.”
